The Tetons

Over the summer I went with my best friend Hayley on a grand road trip to the Tetons. We left at something like 3am so we could get a decent camping spot at Colter Bay and I'm quite proud of how self-sufficient we were at putting up our own tent, starting our own fire, etc. My family used to go camping there every summer but this was my first time back in probably a decade so the whole trip was one moment of deja vous after another. We went to Jenny Lake, took a canoe out for a spin, road horses (and saw a bear cub!) and made s'mores - all your usual camping stuff. One day was spent backtracking to Jackson Hole where we attended a videography/photography workshop sponsored by Canon where I got to learn how to use a tilt-shift lens. On our last day we drove all around Yellowstone, saw Old Faithful steaming away, weirdly bright colored steaming hot pots, and all sorts of wild life.

I was once sent on assignment to scout locations for a reality show. That's when I found this roof :)

Sam & Lindy Maternity Shoot

I first met Sam two summers ago at a music video shoot for Can't Stop Won't Stop (which ended up being one of the first devinsupertramp youtube videos) and people still make comments on the video about the "Asian with the afro". Yup, that was Sam. It turns out that Lindy was also at that shoot. :) Well fast forward a couple of years and they are now married and expecting a baby. Sam got in touch with me and wanted to book a surprise photoshoot for Lindy so one summer morning we got up before sunrise and met up at Alta ski resort and went up the canyon a little further to the Albion Basin in Utah. When the sun started to come up it was just perfect lighting for a good solid 90 minutes and the wildflowers were in full bloom. Sam and Lindy were such a fun couple to work with and their new little baby is going to be so cute!
