My sister recently got married in the Muir Woods, just north of San Francisco. For my drive back to LA I decided to abandon the faster option of Interstate 5 (6 hours or so travel time) and opted to spend twice as much time driving down the coast on Highway 1 through Big Sur. These photos were taken on 35mm film that expired back in 2006 with a Minolta SLR that had a broken light meter. So... it was a giant experiment to see how they turned out. If anyone out there is wondering, the Light Meter app for iphone works great! :) Highlights of the drive: Bixby Bridge, elephant sea lions hanging out on the beach & a random heard of zebras in a field.
